Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service will be carrying out a training exercise at The Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Northampton, tomorrow evening (Wednesday, June 28).
The two-hour exercise will begin at 7pm and will end just after 9pm, and will involve personnel using the former New Look unit on the first floor. It will also involve Northamptonshire Police.
A spokesperson for the Grosvenor Centre said: “We don’t want people to be alarmed when they see the emergency services at the centre on Wednesday evening. This is a controlled exercise that will use synthetic smoke and is an important part of training for fire and police personnel. So, please don’t panic if you see what is happening around the centre on that evening.”
