Northampton is gearing up for an unforgettable summer of sport as Franklin’s Gardens prepares to host eight Women’s Rugby World Cup pool matches in 2025.
With a rich rugby heritage spanning nearly 150 years, Franklin’s Gardens is no stranger to iconic sporting moments. Home to Northampton Saints and regular host to Loughborough Lightning, the venue is the Midlands’ sole host for this global tournament.
Rugby legend Emily Scarratt, who has made her mark on the pitch many times at the Gardens, summed it up perfectly: “Franklin’s Gardens is a traditional rugby hotbed and we can’t wait to bring the Rugby World Cup there in 2025.”
As excitement builds, Northampton will be firmly in the global spotlight — and we at Grosvenor can’t wait to welcome fans to the town centre during what promises to be an incredible celebration of women’s sport.
