This spring, Northampton is going cosmic, with exciting space-themed experiences taking over the town. From augmented reality adventures and immersive experiences to town-wide installations, there’s plenty for families and young explorers to discover.
Space Explorer AR Trail at Grosvenor Northampton
From 22nd May – 14th June, families are invited to discover Grosvenor Northampton’s Space Explorer Trail, an exciting interactive augmented reality adventure where young explorers can journey across the centre to uncover six space missions.
Find the posters around the centre, scan the QR codes and unlock incredible augmented reality experiences that bring the wonders of space to life. As you travel through the trail, complete each mission challenge and record your answers in your Space Explorer Mission Notes Trail Sheet.
Along the way you’ll discover planets, space explorers, surprise visitors and exciting cosmic clues as you work your way through all six missions.

Planetarium Go! Comes to Northampton Market Square
Families can continue their journey through space with Planetarium Go!, an immersive pop-up planetarium arriving in Northampton Market Square from 29th May – 21st June.
Step inside a giant 360-degree dome and experience incredible films and interactive shows exploring the wonders of space. Perfect for curious minds of all ages, the experience offers a unique opportunity to discover planets, stars and the mysteries of the universe in a fully immersive setting.

Explore Northampton’s Space Installation Trail
The space adventure continues across Northampton town centre with a wider space-themed installation trail from Northampton Town Centre BID.
Interactive installations will appear at locations across the town, creating exciting moments and photo opportunities for visitors as they explore. Grosvenor Northampton will also host one of the installations, making it a key stop on your journey through Northampton’s cosmic takeover.
Whether you’re following the trail across town or stopping by Grosvenor as part of your adventure, there are plenty of opportunities to discover something new.
